Sumitome MK63 vented or non-vented complete calipers, also K2 brake pads in Soft ( 0 deg to 500 deg celsius) or Hard ( 30 deg to 700 deg celsius)
Also can supply the corect caliper rubber rebuild kits with the proper piston seal, ( not hilux/landcruiser !)

I have discovered a supplier with stock of these, whilst on the rebuild of the Fury 120Y, it ran these on the back axle, the front is a totally different setup 9 works Escort ! )

Arguably the Focus XR5 is the "RS2000" of the day but is this limited edition car going to be a modern day RS 1800 equivalent?

I am after some advice about seam welding my MK2 rally car.
Many moons ago when i was involved in the build of Peter Knights arched MK1 RS2000 replica rally car,we were told that the best method was to bronze weld the seams (50mm runs,50mm space).
this method supposedly allowed some give and stopped the shell cracking up.
The opinion these days is to MIG weld everything.
What IS the best method?
I want my shell to last.

We went out to the historic Leyburn sprints yesterday 70km south of Toowoomba. Lovely day and was looking for some classics.

A lot of old cars and not a lot of actions but nevertheless some interesting cars.

Bruce Garland was there in an RS 2000. A few Datsun's and that was about it for classic rally cars.

I have two Datsun gearboxes for sale.

The first is an early 240Z box. This is the one with a companion flange on the output shaft and 2.9:1 1st gear. I bought the box and had it checked over by Barry at Datsport. He claimed that the box was in good nick. I was planning to freshen it up with new bearings before putting it into my Datsun 1600 (now crashed see other thread). Never got the chance. Now it's got to go.

The second is a Bluebird 5 Speed. Seems in good nick. Was one of my spares for the rally car but never got to use it.

Hi All,

Thanks to a commuter on her way to Church who decided not to brake as she ran up the back of my stationary 1600 rally car at 90km/hr, my rally car has been destroyed and I am searching for a new one.

As I have all of my mechanical components I am primarily interested in a log booked and caged 1600 shell. I don't like rust, so rust free is desirable. I also don't require hanging panels (doors,guards,boot etc) as I have these already.

I am wondering if anyone can help me out.

Maybe someone has an old 1600 with tired mechanical that needs a breath of fresh air. I'm that breath.

Alternatively I might be interested in good, unmolested shells that can be re-registered ie have id tags.
